Print Production Specialist


Department: Creative Operations
Reports To: Director, Creative Operations
Location: Company Headquarters in Stamford, CT

Overview: Under the general supervision of the Director of Creative Operations, the Print Production Specialist will be responsible for managing the production of all printed collateral assets including catalog, direct mail, look books, in store signage, etc. This position will work closely with marketing and creative services departments.

Functions & Responsibilities:
· Forecasts expected material requirements for all printed materials including catalog, direct mail, look books, in store signage, etc.
· Works with Creative Services and Marketing during the creative development process to meet budgetary and timing requirements.
· Kicks of project briefs based on print schedules. Completes brief with relevant data and updates if/when changes are made.
· Develops and manages schedules with internal and external teams to meet deadlines.
· Manages all production relationships with outside vendors, secure pricing, timing and continuity and adherence to vineyard vines brand standards.
· Negotiates contracts with paper and print vendors.
· Responsible for providing creative-based problem solving when presented with budget, design and scheduling obstacles.
· Leads with positivity to inspire others to get the job done.
· Streamlines projects whenever possible and proactively identify and resolve problems when issues arise.
· Sends artwork files to vendors. Manages getting vendor proofs reviewed and approved by creative before final production.
· Establishes and maintains uniform and efficient methods and procedures for efficient workflow and communication.
· Stays on top of trends, methods and practices to keep creativity fresh. Regularly researches and meets with new vendors and adds to creative sample library.
· Maintains library of past projects with budget, samples and relevant information for future projects.
· Performs other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree
· 2+ years relevant print production experience
· Strong attention to detail, along with the ability to make recommendations based on findings
· Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
· Self-motivated and ability to work under tight deadline
· Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures
· Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
· Proficient in Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, lookups and basic functions)
· General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
