Web Analytics Manager

Location: Company Headquarters in Stamford, CT

Overview: This position works closely with the Director of E-Commerce to identify, plan and build e-commerce campaigns, maximizing the value of customers on the vineyard vines website. Manages web analytics programs, develops strategic performance-based digital plans and to ensure an exceptional customer experience through strong product positioning, cross sell opportunities, and site enhancements.

Functions & Responsibilities:
· Maintain daily and weekly dashboards. Participate in weekly business reviews meetings. Identify traffic trends, abandonment issues and opportunities for improving site conversion rates. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to increase site conversion and drive site improvements.
· Provide monthly/quarterly deep dive analysis of the Ecommerce business. Provide a holistic summary of performance and takeaways that take into consideration all device types, marketing programs, merchandising strategies, and corporate promotions.
· Collaborate with members of the Ecommerce team as well as Merchandising, Creative, and Brand Marketing teams to provide analytic support to measure performance of efforts. Guide end-users in identifying key performance indicators for their areas and then build appropriate reporting that provides insight into the performance of initiatives and approaches within each area.
· Participate in the creation and completion of Multivariate and A/B testing documents, from hypothesis creation to influencing creative to identifying success metrics, and post test analysis.
· Participate in annual Ecommerce business planning efforts by scoping the impact of business and website changes/ forecasting the impact of potential future initiatives.
· Support the creation and on-going maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly conversion, AOV and traffic plans and forecasts for the business as a whole and for each marketing program. Develop and execute customer acquisition, retention and engagement campaigns with the objective of increasing website traffic, consumer database and driving sales.
· Lead on all reporting on site performance, marketing program performance and main power user of Google Analytics.
· Owner of Monetate Testing & personalization platform.
· Assist with the design and implementation of personalization & segmentation strategies via Monetate and Demandware.
· Lead web initiatives and testing process:
· Assist in coordinating A/B tests in relation to web functionality.
· Partner with social media manager to assist with reporting and suggestions to optimize traffic and sales from the social media channels.
· Generate ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users, using system tools and database, analytics platform, etc.
· Focus on improving on-site metrics including conversion rate, abandonment rate, and AOV.
· Work closely with internal experts and third party vendors to identify and troubleshoot problems, and identify and execute against enhancement opportunities.
· Aid in the planning process by developing models to forecast traffic, conversion, demand, etc.
· Understand interaction of marketing channels, especially non branded search and display advertising, and develop a plan for how to maximize transactional volume while minimizing cannibalization.
· Oversee and manage SEO/SEM programs to deliver efficient site traffic.
· Identify new technology partners
· Enhance online user experience and testing.
· Create a road map for creative, targeting, vendor, placement and landing page tests and work with cross-functional teams to execute on the vision.
· Lead usability testing.
· Enhance and manage cross-selling experience via site recommendations.
· Manage web analytics program - Google Analytics.
· Evaluate a paid analytics package for 2015 (Omniture, Coremetrics).
· Spearhead strategic post-campaign analysis and provide recommendations for marketing team/digital agency and senior management.
· Continually research and seek out more effective processes to improve overall marketing programs and be able to effectively drive new initiatives successfully and efficiently through to conclusion.

Requirements:
· Experience with web analytics programs (google analytics experience a must).
· Experience with the integration of a web analytics package.
· Strong understanding of the online marketing and merchandising environment
· Experience with usability and website functionality.
· Proven leadership in a cross-functional setting fostering new marketing ideas, cultivating concepts and creating actionable next steps for implementation.
· Knowledge of key performance metrics, current knowledge of behavioral and demographic targeting research and ROI-driven optimization techniques.
· Team-orientation with excellent analytical capabilities and written and oral communication skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially important when communicating technical matters.
· Excellent time and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
· High energy, positive "can do" attitude and self-motivated.
· High degree of organization, accuracy and flexibility; detail oriented.

· College degree preferred with 3+ years of e-commerce experience for an internet or multi-channel retailer with a mix of strategic thinking, disciplined creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on.
