We love fall in Charleston—the slower pace, the beach days that end at sunset, and the warm weather that stretches
well past September. We couldn’t think of a better a place to usher in autumn than our favorite Southern city, with old
friends and timeless traditions.
Charleston’s cobblestone streets, historic homes and coastal charm always remind us
a little of Martha’s Vineyard—which is why we always keep coming back.
Whether we’re angling for red fish in Charleston’s salt marshes or searching for stripers on The Vineyard,
there's nothing like being out on the water this time of year.
There’s nothing like a traditional oyster roast under the oaks, in which oysters are steamed on large steel sheets over an open
wood fire, shoveled onto tables, and hand-shucked—basically a Southern version of a classic New England clambake.
