Welcome Aboard!

Many people dream of moving to an island in the Caribbean somewhere, leaving all their worries and cares behind, but few people ever do and almost nobody does it as brilliantly as Lucy Buck. Lucy-or Lucinda if you're using her posh name-is one of those individuals who were just never meant to work behind a desk (which is why she's been island hopping for the past several years).

Growing up in England, Lucy had a passion for water skiing. Later she used a bit of fancy footwork to land a job teaching her craft to others at The Sunsail Resort in Turkey. It was there that she met her boyfriend Charlie, a watersports beach manager.

From there they set sail (no, not literally) for the BVI to work at Necker Island. Water sports instructor by day and hostess to the guests by night, Lucy quickly established herself as a full-time guide to the Good Life.

But after a year in paradise, Lucy exchanged the surreal world for the real world and, with Charlie in tow, headed back home. Back in the city it didn't take long before they started to feel like fish out of water. Trading their flat for a yurt and traffic for tranquility, they headed back south soon thereafter. We guess it's like they always say: You can take the girl off the island but you can't take the island out of the girl.
