Welcome Aboard!

When we opened our first flagship store in Edgartown in 2006, we had no experience in the retail business whatsoever, but like most things, that didn't stop us from moving full steam ahead. It was fun and quirky (i.e., the shower stall dressing room). Efficient? Well, that's a whole other story.

It sounds obvious, but over the years we've learned that sometimes you have to hire people with experience and expertise. So after two summers of going at it on our own, we decided to enlist the help of a real professional, resident expert Colette Kurelja, to help us take the store in Edgartown to the next level.

A graduate of the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in Manhattan, Colette owned her own clothing boutique on-island for many years. She also was the General Manager of Sharky's, our friend JB's family-friendly, Tex-Mex restaurant. At the store, she gets to put both the work-hard and play-hard sides she acquired in her previous two ventures to use. Today, the store is still a bit of organized chaos (just the way we like it), but we feel good knowing that Colette is there to be its anchor.
