The ribbon has been cut, the pink carpet rolled out - our new store in the heart of Georgetown is now offically open for business! We had a great Grand Opening Celebration on May 14, 2008, click here to see pictures of our party! |
When it comes down to it, sometimes you pick a destination and sometimes the destination picks you and as far as D.C. goes, the latter certainly applies. Over the years, some of our best customers, supporters and friends have come from this area. So when we decided to finally open a store here, well, we just knew we had to return the favor by giving you the ultimate vineyard vines® experience.
Our new store is truly like no other. Situated in the heart of the Georgetown shopping corridor, we like to think of it as a city storefront with a beachfront attitude. From the second you walk in the door you’ll be transported into another world. A world filled with all the elements that make the Mid-Atlantic lifestyle so unique—golfing, sailing, fishing, lacrosse, and most importantly, living the Good Life. The entrance is marked by a sprawling Sportfisher designed to help you leave the bustling streets behind to set sail for open water. Rods and Reels and the catch they’ve produced checker exposed brick walls while multiple skylights open the space up to fresh air and blue sky. Two full size boat replicas flank each side of the store simulating a full-on race with a sailboat mast in the center marking the finish line. And for the kids (or the kid in you) we have a fishing simulation game, so they (or you) can practice reeling in the big one.
We admit we usually say it’s all about the journey, not the destination, but in this case we think it's safe to say it just might be the other way around. |
