John and Molly Baxter

Team Baxter John and Molly Baxter are a couple of partying sailors with friends in every port. When they come ashore (which isn't very often) exciting things always seem to happen. Like four years ago when Molly went to meet John in Bermuda at the finish line of the Newport to Bermuda Race. Standing on the docks, he decided he could harbor his feelings no longer and asked her to marry him. She's been his first mate ever since. Molly works in advertising in New York City and John, just like us, gets to work with his brother every day at Baxter Investment Management. We sponsor John and Molly's interclub sailing team, which works out nicely because they really float our boat.

Highlights:

• 2008 Interclub National Championship – 1st place
• 2008 Stanley Bell Regatta – 1st place
• 2008 Wharf Rat Challenge – 1st place (a perpetual trophy for overall performance in a series of national level Interclub events)
• Won the Season Championship in Larchmont Yacht Club Frostbiting – 1st place (won the past 3 seasons) 2006, 2007, 2008
• Molly won the 2008 Season Crew Championship in Larchmont YC’s Frostbiting
• 2007 Interclub National Championship – 1st place (won by largest margin ever!)
• North Sails Sailors of the Month - Awarded to John and Molly twice in the last year

John and Molly also race as Tactician and Strategist on Rima2, one of the premier big boat programs in the country.
