Vineyard Vines - Martha's Vineyard

Welcome!

Welcome Aboard!

We have a lot in common with Ed Jerome. Like us, he loves helping kids, fishing and the Vineyard (each in equal measure). Ed was formerly the principal of the Edgartown School before moving on to his next passion full-time: becoming a charter fishing captain on his boat, Wayfarer. But even in Ed's new venture, he has far from abandoned his schoolchildren for schools of fish.

Each year Ed works with the Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby to help give college scholarships to deserving island high school students. He's even gotten big kids like us involved to help the cause. Over the years we've worked closely with the Derby to ensure that there are even more opportunities for the kids, and we couldn't be more thrilled that now, as a result, there are more scholarships granted than ever.

You can see this year's recipients to the left (Mike Alberice, Marcella Andrews, Zach Waller and Tamar Tyson). Come fall they'll all be college bound, attending McGill, BC and UNH, but this day they were happy just to be boat bound with their old principal and friend, Ed.
