For the third year in a row we will be sponsoring the Bitter End Yacht Club Pro Am Regatta 2008 in the BVIs. The event is truly one-of-kind, giving amateur sailors like ourselves the chance to compete with and race alongside some of the best sailors in the world including former America’s Cup Skippers, Olympic Medalists, Around the World Race winners and world champions. Providing a chance to both learn well and live well, The Pro Am is a place where legends are both met and made.

Racing starts November 1, 2008 running until November 7, 2008 with events like the Musto Scuttlebutt Sailing Championships and the Defiance Day Regatta taking place throughout. But off the water the entertainment is just as jam packed with a full social schedule taking place nightly—the highlight of course being our famous whale hat party we throw on the beach each year.

Not only is the Pro Am Regatta one of the most exciting events we’ve ever been a part of, it’s a great reason (as if we needed one) to escape the cold in search of warmer waters. We hope you can join us for a week filled with fun in the sun.

But just in case you can’t join us, this year we’ll be documenting all the excitement for you in our spring catalog. The BVIs is a place filled with people who have chased their dreams and are living the Good Life with their toes in the sand. We can’t wait to bring their stories to you. Stay tuned.
