Welcome Aboard!

Dawn Riley is one of the most prominent figures in sailing today and one of the best skippers-period. With a laundry list of accomplishments, ranging from managing an entire America's Cup syndicate to being the first American (man or woman) to sail in three America's Cups and two Whitbread Round the World races, she's made it look easy. But Dawn will be the first to tell you that trying to break into the industry wasn't always smooth sailing (trust us, plenty of people thought we had a crazy little idea, too). Guided by her personal motto, "If you can dream it, you can do it," she was able to stay afloat.

These days, through her America True foundation, Dawn is committed to breaking down the boundaries that keep others from entering the sport. She focuses (as she half-jokingly puts it) "where kids are in danger of not going sailing." Dawn says she hopes to slow down long enough to have a lifestyle one of these days…but we think she's doing a pretty good job as it is.
